TOWONA Receives New Media of Distinguished Contributions Prize

During the China Brand &
Communication Forum and Awards Ceremony on Brands of Distinguished
Contributions, reputed as the Oscars for China's brand and communication
circles, TOWONA Media, China's leading mobile TV group, won the New Media of
Distinguished Contributions Prize for the strength of excellent marketing
performance, national advertising broadcast network and establishing the
mobile TV transaction currency; and Gareth Chang, chairman & CEO of TOWONA
Media, was honored among the Top 10 Chinese Media Contributors.

This event was held at Marriott Hotel Beijing City Wall on June 27, 2009.
As a highly influential activity in the industry, it was co-hosted by the
China Association of National Advertisers, SME National Council, Journalism
School of Fudan University, School of Journalism & Communication of Peking
University, and the School of Journalism and Communication of Wuhan University.
Government leaders, such as Wang Wenyuan, vice-chairman of the Ninth
Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Sun Xiaohua, vice
president of All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce, and Duan Ruichun,
executive president of China Association of National Advertisers, attended
this forum and granted awards. Top figures from China's media and business
circles held talks under the theme: Brands display power and media spread
confidence. Gareth Chang, together with Liu Changle, Chairman of Phoenix
Satellite Television and Ouyang Changlin, Controller of Hunan Television
Station, etc., co-received the Top 10 Chinese Media Contributors prizes.
Since its establishment in 2003, TOWONA has been dedicated to mobile TV in

Mr. Chang is a seasoned entrepreneur and professional corporate CEO with
considerable influence in the international media industry. He was formerly
Executive Director of the board of directors of News Corporation and
Chairman/CEO of Star TV. He is also a visiting Professor of Tsinghua
University, Adjunction Professor of Communications University of China and
Honorary Professor of Beijing Aeronautics and Astronautics University. He was
President of McDonnell Douglas Asia Pacific, President of Hughes International,
and President of DirecTV International. Mr. Chang was also Independent Board
Director of Apple, Palm, Agile software, and SRS Labs. He is currently serving
on the Boards of NeuStar and the Advisory Council of Nike. He has extensive
experience in international management and is a pioneer in global satellite TV
broadcasting.
